NIDA Foundation was initiated in 1996 as a religious educational institution under the guidance of its founder Ash Sheikh Hassan Fareed (current President). In the year 2008 it evolved into an organization with many socio-economic development projects to serve people all over Sri Lanka irrespective of social, economical and religious divides.
The Foundation is duly incorporated as a charitable institution under the Companies Act of 2007 (GA 2182). It is a non-profit organization that conducts project to improve the lives of people and to promote harmony and co-existence among people of all communities. We strive to improve the lives of people by providing assistance to those who need it the most.
